Pope! Another piece for The New Republic (i did this for them last month), and I tried to go for something bold and striking. Pretty darned happy with how it turned out too.
Fun fact, this is the second spiritual leader I have drawn this week (there’s a Dalai Lama winging it’s way to another client right now). Also drawn this week: James McAvoy, Charles Manson, a tiger and a Sopwith Camel. This job is nothing if not varied.

The theme of this image can be summed up as Emma Watson has a nice face.
Originally intended to be something for the old day job, but it never got used so here it is now. And it means I have something to post while I’m clearing my desk in my studio so it is suitable for working at again (as it had become something of a dumping ground for comics, books and miscellaneous rubbish).
More to come shortly!

A quick warm up sketch for today before getting down to something a little more taxing. This is drawn from the same artwork as the sketch that I used for my lino cut, but obviously it’s a little bit more refined.
Bigger version, if you want it, over on my flickr here.
If you really like it then you can buy it in a variety of sizes as a print, or adorning an iPhone case from my shop on Society6. Go, go now!
