Sound the ‘New-Art’ siren! And believe me when I say i wish I could be posting more on this slightly sorry excuse for a blog, but what work I’ve been doing outside of ‘work’ isn’t ready to be shown yet. Of course what that means is that there will be a deluge at some point in the next few months followed by more drought. I’ll try and find a solution to that because I really like posting art on the web.
Anyhow - to the art at hand! Tomorrow night at the estimable Gallery 1988 Melrose, the second annual Multiplayer show is opening, and I have some art in it (see picture above for said art). I have a huge fondness for Katamari Damacy and all it’s descendants, so it was a no-brainer when I was asked to contribute to a video game themed art show, and the folks at G1988 were very obliging, hence Katamari Dance Party.
Multiplayer will run from tomorrow for about a month and will (as all Gallery 1988 shows are) be worthy of your time. My print will hopefully be on sale online at some point in the next week - i’ll update this post with a link when it happens - and will set you back $55 for a three color 42 x 29 cm print in an edition of 30.
